Whether you are looking to lose or gain weight, gain muscle, or maintain your weight I am here to help you with a nutrition plan to achieve your fitness and/or weight goals in a healthy and well-balanced manner. We will pinpoint ways in which we can create a realistic, well-rounded diet plan for you. Fad diets DO NOT WORK - I strongly believe in the philosophy of consuming a diet that includes foods from all of the food groups (in adherence with your personal beliefs, sensitivities/allergies, and food preferences), and that even includes indulgence foods...MODERATION IS KEY!

So you know you could be eating healthier, but time and/or money is not on your side. Fear no more, for I can show you the way to a healthier diet! I have experience with managing many health conditions, including high cholesterol, high blood pressure, cardiac diseases, diabetes and pre-diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, and more. No matter what reason(s) you are seeking nutritional advice for, I will help you with a complete diet overhaul to help you manage your health condition(s). We will look at different ways to make healthier meal choices that are budget-friendly, time-savvy, and attuned to your lifestyle!

GI DISTRESS + INFLAMMATION

So often I have heard complaints of gastric distress, including heartburn, upset stomach, diarrhea, constipation, gas...well, you catch my drift. GI distress can come in many forms and often times is related to an unknown food sensitivity, intolerance, or allergy. A primary means of identifying these issues is by utilizing elimination diets, where common GI irritants are eliminated from the diet for a few weeks and then reintroduced back into the diet one at a time for a few days each. We may discuss the benefits of MRT food/chemical sensitivity testing (Mediator Release Testing) for a quicker means of identifying foods that are least likely to irritate your tummy. MRT testing can also be helpful with managing inflammatory conditions, migraines, and some skin issues. Sometimes the simplest of diet changes can make a huge difference!

LABORATORY TESTING

Blood lab testing and stool sample testing referrals can be made. I offer the following:
  • Mediator Release Testing (MRT) for food and chemical sensitivity identification with corresponding dietary guidance (message me for pricing). MRT testing is ideal for individuals experiencing chronic GI discomfort, migraines, skin problems (acne, eczema, etc), fibromyalgia and other inflammatory disorders.
  • GI Microbial Assay Plus (GI MAP) stool testing, which may be indicated for autoimmune disorders, various GI issues, brain fog, skin conditions (psoriasis, acne), mood disorders and anxiety, diabetes and weight loss issues.
  • Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones (DUTCH) , which takes a comprehensive look at adrenal and sex hormones. This test is ideal for women and men experiencing unintentional weight gain, fatigue, low libido, mood swings, depression, anxiety, and more.

Low FODMAP
A dietitian-curated meal plan low in Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides, and Polyols, which may aid in IBS management. A low-FODMAP diet may also provide relief for other conditions, such as SIBO and IBD. You should only follow a low-FODMAP if instructed to do so by a healthcare professional.​
